Navajo County Justice System Scrutinized By Maricopa County NAACP The Navajo County justice system is just like any other county court system in Arizona. Yet it doesn’t seem that way for one African-American woman. Welcome to Our Website

Welcome to our newly designed website.  In undertaking this new design, it is our hope that both members abd the surrounding community will benefit from the information, event listings, and local issues presented on this site.

The NAACP is a 21st century advocacy organization that fights for the advancement of minority groups by bridging the gaps in seven advocacy areas, including education, economic empowerment, healthcare, criminal justice, civic engagement, international affairs, and poverty issues.

Since our inception, the Maricopa NAACP Branch has helped many residents throughout Maricopa County deal with adverse situations in employment discrimination, law enforcement issues, and educational issues.

The NAACP of Maricopa County Arizona is a membership organization made up of committees manned by volunteers. The committees consist of, but are not limited to, Political Action, Labor and Industry, Education, Membership, Housing, Legal Redress, and Voter Empowerment. The branch also has a Youth Council that operates autonomously from the adult branch. The Youth Council has the same goals and objectives as the adult branch and functions to address civil rights issues for all youth throughout Maricopa County.

Despite the NAACP's efforts of ensuring social justice and improving the lives of the minority and disenfranchised populations for nearly a century, struggles continue. Inequality within access to education, housing and other means of upward social mobility continues to be evident within this country. As we progress through the coming years, we must continue to advocate for social justice and equality within our communities. You can help support these issues, by becoming a member of the NAACP today. In doing so you can help advocate for equality in the workplace, schools, and our local communities.

Thank you for visiting our site. We invite you to visit periodically to check out our activities, events, and the status of the ongoing fight for equality, justice, and freedom.
